What we like: The account stays on top of trends within the retail industry. Plus, Planet Retail makes “Follow Friday” recommendations for other similar accounts that provide consistent, important updates.

What we like: Doug’s twitter feed is broad—he answers questions about news, large companies and industry changes. He also makes a point to interact heavily with other accounts, providing a large base of potential followers.

The National Retail Federation: “The National Retail Federation is the world’s largest retail trade association, representing all retail formats and channels of distribution.”

What we like: The NRF uses this account to distribute the latest news within the retail industry—helpful for immediate insights into ever-changing company policies and federal regulations.

Retail Dive: “Daily retail news.”

What we like: Retail Dive shares news almost every hour. The posts are short and sweet and give a quick glimpse into the day’s highlights.

Retail Wire: “The retail industry’s premier online discussion forum.”

What we like: The Retail Wire account keeps up with news from top brands and leading executives.
